Bring it On! (They Could be the Best Years of Your Life)

If I could go back and meet my 10-year-old self, I’m sure she’d find me inconceivable. As life rarely ends up appearing the way we plan. This seems to be true for everyone, even those who had never looked for anything out of the ordinary or unexpected in their lives.

There’s so much we don’t know, and there is so much to be experienced in life. One of the best parts of life is its ability to surprise, time and again. Let me tip you off to a few wrinkles that will inspire a ‘Bring It On” type of attitude in your life.

Take a shower and get dressed–This may be a no-brainer, but spending five or ten minutes in the shower will help clear your head and make you feel a whole lot better. Hopefully you can even find clean clothes to wear!

Stop wanting things a certain way–Let go of any fixation that things have to be a certain way. Life is waiting to indulge you! And, it probably will not appear in the way you envision. For me it has been so much better!

Single-task–This may take some practice for some. But it works! Do one thing at a time, and indulge in the opportunity to do what you do, well.

Eliminate as much as possible from your to-do list–As much as you can, simplify your to-do list down to the essentials. This allows you to rush less and focus more on what’s important.

Always be honest with yourself and others–Living a life of honesty creates peace of mind, and peace of mind is priceless.

You are here, now. So enjoy it!–You are on a continuous holiday–It starts with your birth and will end with your death. So, live it like a holiday.

Starting a new life, at any age–Life is change. It will change around you if you don’t change with it. So be versatile and you will make the best out of the changes that come.

Trust Yourself. Learn to trust your instincts–It will improve your chances of success in every endeavor.

Make Your Own Rules–Go for what works for you. You may upset the apple cart a bit in the process, but hey others will eventually get used to this new you.

Pay Yourself First–You can’t give something if you don’t have it. Make yourself a service and pay yourself first, Start with one thing if necessary. But start today.

Stop hiding from your misery–Realize the cause of your misery and attempt to fix or eliminate the problem. If there is nothing for you to do, well, screw it. Anything that is not within the realm of your possibility to do something about, is a waste of your time and energy.

Expect to be Happy–It is said that, what you expect with passion will come to fruition. So, expect to be happy, expect that good things will come to you, and expect that life will bring you much joy and happiness.

And finally, what you’ve got to think is: ‘I’ve come a long way, it’s not over yet, and I expect the best is yet to come. So, Bring It On!’
