Why You Should Warm Towels With a Towel Rail

Whoever said that sizzlers are solely for summers have obviously never tried to warm towels with a towel rail. Towel rails and radiators are some of the latest bathroom accessories that are fast becoming essentials. If in the past people had to put up with makeshift metal or wooden rods to hang their towels on, these days, there are towel rails that range from edgy to sleek. The real beauty of these beauties though is that they aren’t only visually pleasing, they are ultra functional as well.

You might be wondering; why would need to warm towels with a towel rail anyway? Often, people get satisfied with a warm shower, only to end up with getting their bodies wrapped in towels that are nothing but warm. If you live in a place where the winters can get nasty, you would surely appreciate the comfort that warm towels can bring.

Another reason is that rails that function as radiators can be a hygienic measure. You see, they reduce condensation so your towel isn’t as damp and doesn’t stay damp. You know how damp towels can be a good breeding ground for germs and microbes if not hung in an airy space, and you can hardly find any space that would allow you to effectively air-dry towels in winter. This means that you won’t have to put up with smelly, unhygienic towels. If that isn’t reason enough, a bathroom rail that also functions as a radiator can heat up the entire bathroom, depending on its power and the insulation of the bathroom so you won’t dread ever having to step into it.

Lastly, towel rails can be quite an eye-catching piece. There are designer towel rails that can give pizzazz to your bathroom; some are available in ultra-modern minimalist designs that would look awesome in a contemporary bathroom. There are also traditional towel rails that would be one heck of a step up from your good old towel hanger.

You see, there really isn’t much reason why you shouldn’t get one for your bathroom, and quite a number of reasons to. Rails or bathroom radiators are also easy enough to install. There is of course the plumbed-in variety that would have to be connected to your heating system for it to work. They aren’t that easy to move around though, so you may need plumbing work or some modifications in the pipes of the heating system. The electrical types are very easy to set up because they are almost always free standing; you just need to plug them in. However, you are bound to pay more for the electric utility bills. The good news is that there are hybrid models – those that can be used for both so you can switch between plumbed-in and electricity-powered.

If you haven’t had a chance to warm towels with a towel rail before, it’s about time you try it. Rails are bathroom accessories that have managed to be economical, functional and stylish all at the same time. Getting one for your house is one investment you’ll be glad you made.
