Screw the furring strips to the edges of two of the box sides. This will allow you to secure the entire box. Screw the back of the box into the wall studs. Attach the two sides of the box into the furring strips. Attach the front piece of plywood. For bigger areas that have a lot of piping such as the basement, you can add some hinges to top of the panel so that it can be lifted up and moved when you want to access the pipes.

4. For pipes that hang from or are attached to the ceiling, you can lower the ceiling to hide the pipes. This takes a bit of work, but it is a very effective way of covering the pipes.
