Feed Your Family Healthy and Quick Breakfasts

We are all looking for ways in which we can cut time and yet still remain healthy. Having said that, we can’t cut out the most important meal of the day. It is the one that fuels us, gives us the energy, and helps us go through our day. So it’s important for us to learn healthy recipes for quick breakfasts for those on the go that would rather skip this important meal.

Sure, on the weekends, many of us will go through the trouble of preparing an entire breakfast meal fit for a king. But, we are quite limited to time during the week days as we raced off to school or work. The important thing is to always have a meal that includes foods from the four major food groups. This can be done very easily and can take you less than 10 minutes to prepare if you are organized.

Organization is the key to healthy living and preparing easy recipes which could even include eggs. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should be eating bacon in combination with those eggs, especially on an everyday basis. Bacon and sausages are extremely unhealthy, so it’s best to keep those once in a while.

After having said all that, here are some great ideas for terrific breakfasts that you and your family can enjoy. Boiled eggs are one of the easiest things that can be made and provide lots of nutrients and protein which is extremely important for the body. So, a family of five or 10 can enjoy these with great ease. All you have to do is put as many eggs as needed, and boil them.

As they are boiling, have low fat cheese on hand, that you can cut up in portions for each to choose from. As this only takes a couple of minutes, you still have time to wash some fruit like blueberries, for example. They are great antioxidants and full of nutritious goodies for the body. Simultaneously, you could be toasting some whole-wheat bread. There you have it, a complete meal in only a few minutes!

On the other hand, you can’t eat boiled eggs every single day. So, you can mix it up a little bit. Instead of boiling them, scramble them in one large skillet. Add the cheese directly into the skillet with the eggs, and you can even add some vegetables if you like. Again, you have a very healthy meal that only takes a moment to prepare.

Of course, because we are pressed for time in the mornings, it wouldn’t be wise to make separate omelets or take special orders for each individual. This would just be too time-consuming. So, it’s best to find one recipe that everyone enjoys and make it in one pan or skillet.

You can save those specialized orders for your weekends when you are more relaxed and have a lot more time on your hands. All it takes is a little imagination and a little creativity, and certainly the organization mentioned above, and you can keep sending your family off each morning on a good note and a healthy note.
