Hemorrhoids may be classified as internal or external but it is possible to have both at the same time; internal hemorrhoids are inside the anal canal under the inner lining of the anal wall, while the external hemorrhoids are situated outside the anus.

Hemorrhoids that are severe enough to require medical treatment are not very common amongst people below the age of 20. Symptoms of hemorrhoids

– Minor hemorrhoids (internal or external) will not be painful and may resolve without treatment of any kind.

– Rectal bleeding, a more serious hemorrhoid may bleed and you may notice blood in the toilet bowl, on the feces, on the toilet paper or on your undergarment.

– If an internal hemorrhoid becomes large enough it will protrude through the anal opening. Often it can be pushed back inside if it does not go back inside by itself. These protruding internal hemorrhoids quickly become irritated and painful if they are allowed to remain outside. If they remain protruded outside their blood supply can be impaired leading to the complication of strangulation. This is associated with the symptoms of pain, mucus discharge eventually causing itching. (Click the links in the last paragraph to know how to shrink prolapsed hemorrhoids fast)

– External hemorrhoids, if they are large, however, can be painful when attempting to clean the anal area after a bowel movement, they can also be complicated by the formation of blood clots, this is known as thrombosis. Thrombosed hemorrhoids are very painful and the surrounding skin changes color to blackish coloration. Thrombosis requires urgent treatment. {To know how to deal with thrombosed hemorrhoids click on the links in the last paragraph below}

How can you reduce the pain and other symptoms of hemorrhoids?

Sometimes changing your lifestyle or, more importantly, your dietary habits will allow you to avoid a re-occurrence of hemorrhoids. Adding items with high fiber content to your diet may be enough to avoid constipation, other tactics may involve drinking six to eight eight-ounce glasses of water per day, losing excess weight and drinking a fiber supplement.

You should avoid sitting on the toilet seat for too long, the habit of reading in the toilet or using the phone while you are still on the toilet seat should be discouraged. Sitting on the toilet for too long only generates extra pressure on the anorectal veins.

Avoid the use of perfumed soap or toilet paper as they may only irritate the hemorrhoid further, it is always better to use a pre-moistened wiping paper or to wet a dry toilet paper slightly before use. You can also try sitting in a tub of warm water to reduce pain or using an ice pack to reduce swelling.

To cure hemorrhoids and its painful symptoms you need a holistic well packaged natural treatment that will deal with every aspect of the disease.
