Costa Teguise is the island of Lanzarote’s second largest resort, only outranked by the busy resort of Puerto del Carmen.

Located centrally on the east coast of Lanzarote is the resort of Costa Teguise, the resort is renowned for its delicious blue-flag beaches, as well as its popular windsurfing scene (Warning: You will encounter wind here). With only a twenty minute drive from Arrecife Airport, it is easily accessible by public transport and taxi, providing an ideal place to explore the north of the island, as well as many of the attractions within the area, and even further south.

Eat yourself to a heart attack

There are hotels ranging from budget to 5 star all-inclusive, as well as self-catering apartments with their own pools. Costa Teguise primarily attracts both families, couples and singles in search for peace and relaxation, as well as looking for sunshine. English, Italian, Spanish and Germans tend to be the most popular visitors. The location on the east coast benefits
greatly from glorious sunshine all year round.

Very popular among British tourists
With sunshine all year round, many British holiday makers are drawn here, including during the winter months, to escape the dreary British winter, in search for some winter sun.

The main attraction is the bach
Within Costa Teguise, the main attraction is life at the beach. There are three large beaches in the resort, with Playa Las Cucharas being the most popular, especially with windsurfers, and 640 metres in length. Playa Los Charcos is smaller, at 150 metres long, but has fine, white sand and beautiful crystal clear waters to enjoy. However, Playa Bastion is popular with families as it is sheltered from the wind.

Walking along the beachfront prominade

A popular activity for many visitors are to enjoy walks along the promenade, taking in the fantastic colours of the sea, and watching windsurfers in action taking on the waves. Costa Teguise caters for windsurfers, with windsufring schools, bars and surf clothes shops. There are also a variety of watersports here, as well as a Waterpark. A golf course is also close by for golfing enthusiasts. Many tours operate from the resort going to places such as Teguise for the Sunday markets, as well as to Timanfaya.
