With their scores in their first matches of the season, the fans of the Houston Astros weren’t optimistic about what their team can achieve. When the Cardinals started this game, they did not expect to lose their first home match against the Houston Astros, especially after their four point lead until the seventh. During the eighth and ninth, the Astros modified the score to a drastic 9 – 4 win over the Cardinals. The Astros were able to win their sixth match in a row and they prove that they have changed and their performance is now much better.

In an interview with Keppinger, he stated that he is very happy with the score and also stated that the new players that came from the Yankees are doing a great job with the team. He also said that the new lineup had a great role in this change.

Brett Myers was one of the reasons of this win against the Cardinals. He scored 3 runs, 3 hits and he also struck out 4 batters through 6 innings. With these numbers, Myers is on his way to set a new franchise record in this season.

The trade offs of the franchise icons, Berkman and Oswalt, were considered the main reasons behind this remarkable change in the team performance according to what the fans said. Many people see that the players are now performing as a team without depending on one player only during the game.
