Find Out What’s Next For GMC
Buick LaCrosse
With both Saturn and Pontiac both being victims of low car sales, Buick who would possibly be the next inline for the chopping block has come out with an all new LaCrosse.
Now Buick has had pretty terrible sales figures here in the US for this year, but, across the pacific ocean, Buick is GM’s #1 brand in China. In this fact alone is enough to ensure the Buick name plate will remain. The really exciting news is that LaCrosse aims to bridge the gap between young and old automotive consumers. In an attempt to appeal to a younger crowd, Buick has thrown out the old tired designs and come out with a LaCrosse that sports a new look complete with all new sheet metal.
The base model starts at around twenty seven thousand dolars and comes with a 250 hp V6 engine with front wheel drive. There’s the top of the line CXS model which costs $33k, has a 280 hp engine lifted from the Camaro. This trim also gets all wheel drive. Fuel economy checks in at 17mpg in the city and 27mpg on the highway.
Other notables’ keyless entry, climate control, heated seats, usb, and upgraded Harmon Kardon sound system, heads up display and more. The suspension is also tuned by European engineers in an attempt to keep up with the European luxury crowd.
Cadillac CTS
The Cadillac CTS sports wagon is here and I’ve seen it. The new CTS sports wagon is a good looking vehicle. The styling is sharp and definitely an attention grabber. THE CTS sedan has proud to be a huge success for Cadillac has a plan to cash in on every segment possible with not only the wagon but the coupe version due out soon. The sedan has become one of the most reliable cars according to GP Powers.
The top of the line CTS sports wagon comes with a 304 hp and 273 lb-ft. torque engine with rear or 4 wheel drive. Base price checks in at $40k.
Cargo area is expanded by 13.6 ft. in the sedan to 25 ft. in the wagon. With the rear seats down though the interior cubic foot space jumps to a monstrous 53 feet. The CTGS wagon also features a power lift gate or in laymen’s terms a motorized rear hatch.
Cadillac SRX
The old SRX was an ugly sore spot for Cadillac. It did not sale very well and it looked even worse. But Cadillac has given some of the hot new redesign love to the SRX. Gone are the 3rd row seat and gas guzzling V8 engine. The SRX has been transformed to a true crossover SUV. The cabin has a ton of CTS styling while the exterior gets a makeover all its own. Opt for the 300 hp 295 ft-lb torque engine with all new drive. Base price is only $34k. The SRX is poised to take on the best from Germany including Audi, BMW and Mercedes.
