What Wedding Shoes?
Shoes shoes shoes, women and shoes have a very strange love hate relationship. I should know I have a room just dedicated to my partner’s shoes, trainers, outfit shoes, boots and much more styles and types of shoes. Generally women and sometimes including men a lot of time can be spent on buying and searching for the correct shoes for that occasion. Also an outfit generally determines the shoes that should be worn to get that right look.
There are so many options or shoes like colour, size (many women have to have different size depending on the style of shoes) sparkly diamantes and much more that appeal to people. Shoe manufacturers have it down to a tee with so many consumers and so much money available in the industry, this is one industry that is relatively safe from the fears of the recession.
Never mind the general shoe buying which can become fairly painstaking whether you are male or female. Imagine one of the most important occasions of your life i.e. your wedding? Your shoes have to match and compliment your outfit no matter what look you are trying to achieve. This is a major issue for men and women alike as generally couples will go out shopping together to ensure their look complement each other.
Depending on the theme, venue and other matters of your wedding your shoe hunting can be difficult or very easy. Here is a difficult situation I am going to land in your lap and possibly a very rare one at that. Picture this you have decided on a vintage wedding so along with all the other considerations of dresses, jewellery and other vintage accessories you need vintage wedding shoes. As if you’re not stressed out already with the wedding planning you have to deal with from venues, guest lists and decor.
Well not to worry there are a lot of options out there for vintage wedding shoes. Admittedly most options are expensive but hey you’re getting married and will only do this once (we hope) so just enjoy it and lash out the credit card (hoping you haven’t maxed it out yet). A number of designer brands are actually branching out and designing for the vintage needs of a number of people out there, however this is probably the most expensive option available.
As always I would recommend starting with the internet and the likes of Google. A little bit of research and searching in the engines could most likely land you the shoes you want with the most favourable deal in comparison to the larger designer brands that we all know of. A bit of a heads up before even looking out there for any kind of vintage wedding shoes or other accessories is to research the styles of the decades. For example do you want styles from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s or the 1950s. Bear in mind as the decades went on the styles developed and picking the right decade will make your wedding even more special and add that wow factor for you and your guests.
