How to Be the Trendsetter in Parties

Young people enjoy meeting members of the opposite gender. As a young person, you may go to lengths of using accessories to get attention from that person you like. You must know that there are two types of attention: favorable and unfavorable. Too much of anything can be damaging – and this applies to your fashion statement and manner of talking.

The first thing you should try to do is assess the type of personality of the person you are trying to impress. If he or she is the silent type, such people tend to get attracted to the opposite of how they project themselves. If they are quite timid at parties, you are in the best position to make her feel comfortable and enjoy the crowd. He or she would not be there if she does not want to.

One of the types of parties that such type of people would go to are Halloween parties. These kinds of gatherings are less too intimidating in such a way, that people can look awful and drab and still be part of the crowd. In fact, the more awful, the cooler you are.

If you will notice, children who go around trick or treating are completely dressed up for the occasion. You will see fairies, complete with wands and leotards, as well as Morticia of the Adams family with her long black nails, long black hair and tattered black gown. Young people as well as adults can also dressed up for the occasion. Halloween parties are usually held much later after the kids have gone to bed, tired from trick or treating.

Did you know that with your costume for the Halloween or any other party, you can be the trend setter? Once you make an impression that make mouths agape in awe, you will most probably get invited more often and people will be waiting what surprise you have in store as far as costume if concerned. By doing so, the man or lady you are trying to get some attention from, will look you up with a nod of approval. When you get successful with this, you were able to transmit that you don’t over nor under dress for gatherings, which in turn will make anyone most likely to walk side by side with you.

Now, your costume, however impressive the design, will fall short from getting impressive results without accessories. When talking about accessories, it should be the whole ensemble – head to foot. For example, if you decide to be a Japanese samurai, you are expected to be in a kimono, white face, dark lashes, wearing a samurai warrior wig, in socks and wooden clogs. In the same way, if you wanted to be scary for the Halloween, decide on the shivery character you will project and complete the ensemble from head to foot, including donning Halloween wigs.

Then, you can go and approach the lady in Red, Madonna, Dorothy or whoever she’s trying to cast and start the conversation ball rolling by telling her that she looks great with her costume. Who knows, maybe the next party in town, you will go together as Mr. and Mrs. Smith!
