PIRATE PARTY IDEAS FOR INVITATIONS – Ahoy! me party hearties, no need to walk the plank trying to get all of your blokes to attend. Start by sending out a pirate party invite that even Jack Sparrow couldn’t refuse. Give your invites a unique twist. Perhaps you could use invitations that look like a pirate’s map and put an “X” to mark the spot where the party is going to be held. Don’t forget to tell ye mateys the date of this grand event, as well as the time, and be sure to let everyone know that they need to dress in their favorite pirate best. Also, be sure to let your guests know they need to raise their Jolly Roger if they be attendin’!
PIRATE PARTY IDEAS FOR DECORATIONS – This is such a fun party to create and attend. There is a ship load of decor out there and the only problem you will have is putting on the brakes.
Start out by making sure your guests receive a proper greeting as they arrive. Have a skeleton greet your guests at the front door. For added fun, it’s best to dress your “friend” in pirate attire and not leave him naked. Also, you can add a sign that says something fun like, “Dead Men Tell No Tales, Just Ask Peg-Leg Pete.”
But don’t stop there, hang another wood sign on the front door that says, “Enter At Ye Own Risk!”
You will also want to try and make your party area look as much like a pirate’s ship as possible by adding the appropriate decorations.
For example, cover your dining room table with a fishing net and scatter plastic and/or rubber fish and sea shells on top. Create a treasure chest centerpiece and fill it with beads and gold coins, along with attaching a bouquet of birthday balloons.
Create treasure maps by taking city maps, soaking them in tea water, let them dry, and then hang them on the walls, along with posters of pirates and pirate ships.
Also, make pirate signs and hang them around your party area. They can say things like, “Walk The Plank”, “Poop Deck”, “Davy Jones’ Locker”, “Shiver Me Timbers”, etc.
PIRATE PARTY GAMES – It’s best to hold your pirate party outside, this way you can hide those treasures a wee bit better. Just be sure you make it a good hunt and your pirate friends may “claim” your party as the best one yet, especially if you have some great pirate-related prizes to give out to the winners. All you need to do is put on your pirate thinking cap and just let your imagination flow!
