When will he have time to just be a child? Between the high expectations in the classroom, at home, and in the community it is conceivable that he’ll feel so much pressure to do and be good that he’ll forget what it’s like to be a child. Childhood can offer valuable learning experiences as well, and Fairfax, VA Schools would do well not to forget that. Sometimes the best medicine is to let a child be a child on most days of the week, not an academic philanthropist.
