“Busy” is a word that has many negative connotations. Oh, let’s not get carried away with it, there are some advantages to being busy, but it is a word that normally arises when we want to be doing something else but cannot get the time to make it happen.

So when you do have free time, you owe it to yourself to make the best possible use of that time. We all know that in an ideal world, we wouldn’t have to work so hard – just enough to make a living and we could enjoy the rest of our time.

Does this mean that we are all failing to live our lives to the fullest when we are not doing things with our free time? No, not really. Often we are just tired from work, and catching up on sleep is one of many ways that people use their free time. But you can’t sleep it all away.

What do you do instead, then? Well, that’s up to you. Think of something that you can imagine enjoying for an extended period and bingo – you have a project for that free time.
