Social Underpinnings of Cleaning

As the human nature has increasingly become so wary and conscious with regard to their environment and surrounding, the idea of cleanliness and green living have been widely embraced and applied by almost every household. Various social issues encompassing the environment and health concerns drove this consciousness. Primary among these public concerns is the issue on health.

Dirty and contaminated areas, within and outside one’s residence, are extremely avoided and proscribed by the community. It is not only that such dirt and contaminated materials vexing to the eyes of the residents and hindrance of their aesthetical atmosphere, but it is also gravely dangerous to the health of the members of the community. Thus, despite these community and national level actions in response to the issue, local and personal actuations are especially called for in order to effectively address these problems and mitigate the harmful effects of the dirt, contamination, and other environmental hazards produced by our own households. This personal act in contribution to the solution of these concerns is especially performed through cleaning.

Although cleaning is an extreme burden to the person, there are various and effective cleaning tips available to assist and guide every household in respect to their efforts to eliminate the dirt and contamination within their immediate surrounding and the community as well. Common to all of these cleaning tips and among the highly effective ones is the need to perform brief ocular inspection to every area, hidden and exposed, to ensure that all area of the house is cleaned thereafter. It also allows the person to map out the possible routes of cleaning. Say, if the kitchen requires some clean and its northern adjacent stock room has abundance of dirt, but the living room is clean and requires only minor feather dusting and sweeping located at the southern part adjacent to the kitchen, then the person should first clean the most dirty area which in this case is the stockroom, then make sure that the excess dirt goes only up to the kitchen but not to the living room to avoid additional burden in cleaning.

Another important cleaning tip is the regularization of minor cleaning practices to avoid the accumulation of dirt and contamination of the house of some virus and bacteria that are harmful to the dwellers health. As regards the cleaning tools, the owner should, after ocular inspection, be able to determine the type of cleaning tools that could effectively sweep and remove the filthy objects. These cleaning tools, after their use, should be kept at one are in the house so the person would not be having difficulty finding each one of them during the next cleaning period.

These cleaning tools and tips make the act of cleaning not only rewarding but also fun and easy. Hence, if everyone would be aware of such cleaning tools and tips, nobody would frown upon the obligation to clean one’s area.
