A Hotel On The Outskirts Of Manchester, Perfect For Business People
I certainly have a career with a difference. Part of my week is office based whilst the rest is spent travelling around the UK. The office side of my job is relatively easy; however I must say that driving many miles is extremely tiring. Traffic jams, road works and adverse weather conditions can cause severe delays, adding many hours to my working day. At night I just need to relax.
Suitable accommodation is often difficult to find in large cities within the UK. A sudden phone call from head office meant travelling to a different destination and having to alter my night’s stay in a hotel. When my working day is changed at the drop of a hat, the last thing I want to do is search around for an appropriate place to spend the night.
The other day my work schedule had to be quickly rearranged. The location of the business meeting was changed to Manchester, which meant altering my hotel reservation too. Fortunately I had a change in luck. I found the perfect hotel situated in the outskirts of the city. It was only thirty minutes drive to the city centre itself, ideal for me to get to. In my experience hotels on the outskirts of major cities tend to be less noisy than their city centre counterparts.
The hotel ticked all the right boxes. An array of up-to-date amenities and facilities including Wi-Fi, which in my line of work is absolutely necessary, were on offer. What a fabulous restaurant too, really perfect for business people who have to endure a lot of travelling by road.
The room itself was large, airy, more than adequate. A spacious en-suite bathroom, comfortable bed and efficient room service were also available including an early morning wake up call. My meeting had been rearranged for 10.00 a.m. the next day, so I contacted the hotel staff to have an early call. The next morning I awoke feeling refreshed after having had a good night’s sleep. I was certainly looking forward to the full English breakfast on offer.
I thoroughly enjoyed the meal the previous evening in the hotel’s restaurant. My breakfast was just as good, if not better. A wholesome breakfast is a great way to begin the working day especially for people like me, who regularly travel by road. The hotel was extremely busy, business people everywhere. The staff were very helpful and seemed to realise how important it was to keep their customers happy.
I was absolutely dreading the rush hour traffic; however, the journey time to my business meeting, took just over half an hour. Feeling refreshed I was able to concentrate completely on the business agenda in hand, the day itself was a resounding success.
I strongly recommend choosing a hotel situated on the outskirts of Manchester. Everything I required was catered for and I for one have no hesitation in rebooking a room here again.
