Being Involved In Car Accidents

In a blink of an eye an accident can happen so fast you really don’t have time to react the moment you’re involved in one. Once they happen, it’s a very emotional time in your life depending on the accident because you don’t know whether they’re going to live or die. There are tons of car accidents you could end up in. You could be drinking and driving, you could be driving home late at night and falling asleep at the wheel, you could be hit by a drunk driver, you could run a stop light or a stop sign, you could get hit behind, or you could be driving through rain or snow and your car might skid.

Especially teenagers, in their last year of high school, find the urge to want to celebrate by going to a party and getting drunk. That’s completely understandable to want to do that but you’re supposed to wait about two to three hours and drink plenty of water before you go out driving. When you’re drunk and everyone at the party is drunk, their won’t be one sober person there to want to take away your keys so you won’t end up driving home. Since you’re driving drunk their’s a high risk that an accident can occur. You don’t want your life to be taken by one dumb mistake.

You don’t even have to be drinking late at night to get into an accident. You may be driving late at night and have not been getting any sleep and you may feel your eyes start to close and one second later you could be in a head on collision or hit on the side or from behind. If you feel like you’re about to fall asleep, then pull over and take a nap before you head home. That’s much safer than trying to make it home with your eyes barely open.

Friday and Saturday nights are usually party nights for young adults and older teenagers. You may be in your car heading home minding your own business when all of a sudden you see a car swerving a head of you coming back the other way. You don’t know if he has been drinking and you try to avoid the accident by maybe going off the shoulder but that does not work as the car comes towards you and then hits you as you and the other car collide.

Being in a hurry and running a red light is very dangerous especially on a busy intersection. If you feel like you’re running late to where ever you’re going, then try to leave the house a little earlier in case you run into a lot of red lights or traffic. You could easily put someone else’s life in danger as well as your own by running a red light. The same goes for stop signs even if you’re in a neighborhood. The crossing traffic may not have a stop sign but you do and run it anyways and you could end up hitting the car easily because you’re not paying attention.

Most accidents may occur when a person gets hit from behind. Those can be scary as well if you’re pregnant and you’re worried about the baby hoping their’s nothing wrong with him or her. You could easily hit someone from behind by accident because your foot may slide off the break and your car may roll into the person in front of you.

When you’re driving through snow or rain or any kind of precipitation, you want to make sure you’re driving at least five miles under the speed limit just for your safety and the safety of others because the roads may be really wet or you may be driving on ice. A lot of accidents can happen this way if you break too suddenly and your car swerves into another car.

There are tons more car accidents you can be involved in, but these are just the few that are the most common. Always remember to drive safe because when you’re driving down the road you have to pay attention to all that’s around you.
