Looking Back at the History of Men’s Clothing
Its always fun to look at the latest trends and fashions when it comes to men’s clothing. It can also be most entertaining to take a look back in time and just review what was in the men’s wardrobe back in the 1800’s for example. One must understand that we may think its expensive to buy clothing now, but when you look at the multitude of clothing that had to make up a debonair’s wardrobe back then it certainly must not of been cheap.
To begin with there always had to be a full dress outfit and this would consist of a black dress coat which had to have a full collar. In addition to this there would always be a vest worn, and it would depend on the man’s choice whether it would be made of the same material as the coat or whether it would be simply a white vest. It also depended on the location of the individual as well. For example an English man would insist on a blue coat with a white vest. Added to this to complete the wardrobe would be the pantaloons and most certainly the gloves. This complete attire would make the full dress for the most important occasions.
For those times that one didn’t want to be dressed in the formal mode, the walking dress would be an order. In this particular attire one would find a double breasted coat. It would most often be very plain but had to be of a dark Kamagra Soft color. The vest would be made with the same material, however it would have a wider collar to it. The pantaloons would be most boring in a dull grey shade, or for those that were little bit more daring then they may be diagonal stripes.
One of the most important pieces of clothing to the debonair of the years gone by was the over coats. These are what put the final touch to the overall fashion look. They certainly weren’t exciting to look at but they held there mark as being of a matter of importance and showing the esteem of the wear. There would be a choice of coats here worn according to the seasons. During the winter months the coats would be at a much longer length and a little tighter fitting. The most common colors would be the browns or the dark blues once again.
No outfit would be complete without some sort of head adornment by way of hats. Probably the most noted and most fashionable for this time period would be the silk order online viagra hat. Naturally the brim of the hat was important and had to be at least 2 inches. Underneath the brim to show the classiness of the hat itself, it had to be lined with a expensive cashmere. There would be several different types of hats amongst the men’s wardrobe. There would have to be the silk beaver hats as well as the pockets hats. Then of course there had to be hats that were set aside specifically for travel, and then those that were to be worn to the theater. Hats were one of the most important accessories to go with any of the men’s attire of that particular era.
Another very important part of the men’s wardrobe was the shoes and boots. Most of these were the button and laced shoes but these would change in style by the years just as they do now.
Then another important piece of attire would be the handkerchief that just had to go as a finishing touch with the attire. For casual wear one would be looking more into the lounge jackets which once again would change in fashion and style over the years.
