Women today are putting off having children until much later in life. Indeed, they put it off to such a time as when they are ready for the baby, noting happens! The woman will obviously be put through a whole gamut of tests before doctors will try other methods of getting pregnant. If it is the woman who has the problem, then she will have to undergo several weeks or months of hormone injections to make her eggs ready for harvesting. The eggs are extracted through a thin needle place through the abdomen and each is checked for viability. Those which pass the tests are either used immediately or stored for future use. The ones to be used will be placed in a dish, along with the chosen sperm, which should fertilize them. Once fertilization has taken place, several of them will be replaced in the womb and this should result in a normal pregnancy from then on.

Although this last part is not always successful first time, and this is why the other eggs are frozen to use again in the future, this is a pioneering way of giving women that one thing that should be theirs as a right. We should all be grateful for great doctors for sure.
