CNA License

CAN license exam

The CNA license exam basically consists of two parts; one is the written part and the other part is the skills evaluation part. You have to arrange a volunteer yourself on whom you can demonstrate all the skills which are necessary as a medical assistant. Both of these tests are managed according to the clinical training and the classroom theory. After clearing the entire CNA exam you will be offered the license and you will also get enrolled with a Nurse Aide body.

License Renewal

The license which is offered after clearing the CNA exam is only valid up to two years. It must be renewed before the date of expiry to continue your nursing assistant profession smoothly. The license renewal time period is one hundred and fifty working hours. It is important that a candidate bears a criminal free record and has no history of being a drug addict. In case the license gets expired and the nurse assistant doesn’t gets it renewed on time, than legally the nurse assistant is not allowed to work. Under the law the nurse assistant is not able to provide services in any health care unit or a particular hospital.

License transfer

In case a certified nurse assistant is willing to move from one state to another then an application must be submitted to the relevant nursing body. It is essential because the services and professional norm varies from one state to another. If the terms and conditions of both the states match, then you will be offered a license transfer but in case they do not match you might require sitting for a license exam.
