How to Write a Great MLM Letter

What\’s the most exciting thing on the Internet? Year in and year out, it\’s MLM. Multi-Level Marketing got roaring on the Net back in the mid-90s and it\’s still going strong.

The Web\’s ability to connect LOTS of people with similar interests is perfect for MLM\’s business model. MLM\’s job is to connect a LOT of people who want to earn money promoting and selling a set of products.

But more importantly, MLM generates EXCITEMENT! Most people join a MLM opportunity because they are energized by all the excitement surrounding the business.

What generates all this marvelous enthusiasm? Your sizzling, eye-popping, mind-tingling Sales Letter makes it happen.

Let me share with you the simple steps for creating your own GREAT MLM Sales Letter.

* Headline

Start with a headline that focuses on how much money people can make and the big improved benefit the program offers.

For example: Anyone Can Earn $10,000 Per WEEK With This Cutting-Edge New Selling System That Does The Work For You

If your opportunity won\’t allow you to quote exact money figures, say \”Six Figures\” or \”Mind-Blowing Full Time Income.\”

Stress how EASY the program is and how little experience you need to work it. Few people want to work long hours or take months of study to get up to speed.

* 2nd Headline

Drop down a space and add a 2nd Headline. Include the most important details that you didn\’t have room for in the first headline.

For example: This is the revolutionary program that is setting the Internet on FIRE! Our fully automated Money Machine does ALL the work for you, letting you spend your days with family, fishing, or following your dreams.

* The Video

These days everyone has a video, either between the first and second headline, or right after the second headline.

The standard is to pay someone to create a Flash slide show with a voiceover (announcer telling your story.) I think this is all starting to look too much like a boring PowerPoint presentation you might have to endure at work.

Instead, get a cheap FlipCam and make a video of YOURSELF simply telling people about what you LOVE about the program. Your video doesn\’t need to be long. Sixty seconds is fine.

Put your best clothes on, shine a light on your face, and get excited. More people will sign up when they feel like they know the person behind the site.

* Spend a couple of paragraphs hyping up the program and its major benefits

Go into a little more detail about the selling system and profits that can be made. Mostly you want to paint a picture of how wonderful the prospect\’s life will be once they work your program.

For example: This system is so easy and simple you can work it a few minutes while you\’re at work. Check your sales over lunch. Spend just a few minutes in the evening or on the weekend.

The choice is yours!

Now you can have the phenomenal Time Freedom you\’ve always wanted — to be there for family, to pursue your favorite hobby, or just to RELAX and enjoy life without constantly having to worry about finances.

* How things have changed – everything you know is out of date!

How things have changed is especially popular these days. With Social Media, online video, old sites disappearing, sites switching to WordPress — all these combine to make prospects feel like they\’re out of touch.

One thing I\’ve noticed is MLM entrepreneurs are overwhelmingly middle-aged. It\’s easy for those of us who have been around a few decades to feel the current speed of change is a bit bewildering.

For example: The selling systems you\’ve used in the past are now woefully out of date. NO more getting stuck with stale leads. NO more using a sales system that fails to sell anybody. NO more placing worthless ads and doing insane co-op deals.

Talk about how long the company has been in business, or the well-known businesses the management team worked with in the past. Create confidence that the founders know what they\’re doing, have the capital to create a solid business, and are going to be around for the long haul.

* Testimonials from people who love it!

Nothing sells like enthusiastic testimonial comments from customers who LOVE your business. These days the testimonials can take up half the page. Websites often highlight testimonials with elaborate graphics.

Testimonials are not difficult to get. Have a few friends review your system and tell you what they think. Contact people who are well-known on the Net and offer to put their comment on your site with their website URL beneath it. You may even be able to write the comment for the person and have them approve it (many prefer this.)

Some sites are using VIDEO testimonials. These are easy to produce and can be especially effective.

* Sign-up

Include a sign-up button. I often include a sign-up link in the early paragraphs. That\’s so people who want to buy NOW (about 17 percent) won\’t have to hunt for the order button at the bottom of the page.

* Iron-Clad Guarantee

Most opportunities have some kind of guarantee. Use phrases like No Risk, Iron-Clad, Win-Win, Money Back, and No Questions Asked.

* The Bonuses

Many sites insist on offering 3 to 6 bonuses. These can be free reports, ebooks, and shareware that relate to MLM or online business. Often people will join the program just to get a bonus that appeals to them.

* The disclaimer in fine print

I never write the disclaimer as there is usually one that comes with the opportunity.

This is the most used formula for writing a great MLM letter. It\’s perfect for a web page, sales letter, or solo ad. This formula is also used for affiliate programs and software sales.
