Environment Friendly Cleansers

If you are on a budget and wants to clean your house without using any harmful chemicals that can cause damage to our environment, using natural household cleansers is the best thing to do. Some of the most popular and most used products that are 100% natural can be found in your kitchen. These are baking soda, white vinegar and lemons. Yes that’s right; these are great cleansers that match equally the effectiveness of commercial cleansers and without the chemicals.

This method of cleaning where you use the above-mentioned natural cleansers is called green cleaning. Although green cleaning has a lot of interpretations, the point it wants to share is to use only methods and cleansing materials and solutions that will not do any harm to our environment. Most household that use green cleaning use stuffs that are natural like white vinegar, baking powder, lemons and other natural cleansers that are alternatives to the chemical cleansers.

Although these are safe to humans and doesn’t pose any threats at all, the proper use of these natural cleansers is still required as they can do damage to our clothes, houses and even on our appliances. You should do a research before you use these on your house cleaning. For example, lemons are good alternatives for bleaches as they are good in removing stains due to their high level of acidity. Without proper use of this cleanser, you can ruin your nice furniture, your beautiful dress, and anything that gets stained when bleached.

Baking powder was popular before as an ingredient used in foods especially in baking bread and cake as it is known to release carbon dioxide which causes them to rise when heated. However, it has also been known as a good stain-remover which is also inexpensive compared to the commercial cleansers. Using a baking powder in its paste form is great for cleaning your dishes, the inside of your refrigerator, and almost anything that you want to clean. Having this can be a great addition to your cleaning arsenal as it helps speed up your work. Aside from removing dirt and stains from your appliances and on any part of your house, it can also be a great deodorizer due to the fact that it is a natural substance that keeps the pH balance. This means that instead of just covering up the foul smell, baking powder actually gets rid of it.

Another important natural cleanser is white vinegar which is used literally on anything that needs to be crystal-clear. Vinegar has a property that is high in acid level which is perfect for cleaning and disinfecting your house and stuffs as it kills germs and bacteria. You can use vinegar instead of rubbing alcohol on your door knobs if you are into natural cleaning and if you can tolerate its smell. However, you can reduce the strength of its smell by adding and mixing lemon juice which is also a great natural cleanser with the same cleaning ability with white vinegar and baking soda.
