Even educated flees do it! This means if we were flees we would need education to fall in love. However falling in love is not the same thing as staying where you fall until you die. All mammals can be observed dating married. Not only mammals, but all animal commit adultery. Blackbirds (Turdus family) were believed to be monogamous animals. Once they were paired with a spouse they were believed to stick with them until the end. For scientists, this was a very hard thing to believe. So they made an experiment. They sterilized half of the male blackbirds in one group. Guess what happened to the eggs of their female companions. They hatched and all the females of the group had baby blackbirds. If there is no divine intervention, they must have committed adultery. Monogamy is observed in animals only in certain environments where protection of newly born is very hard and can be made possible only by participation of both parents. Even in such conditions an exclusive monogamy can’t be observed. When the conditions change, monogamist family structure also comes to an end. Therefore monogamy is a social life style not a genetic one and genetically all animals are polygamists.

You must have heard of the polygamy theory. In all creatures that have two sexes, males are programmed in genetic level to spread their genes where as females search for the strongest and most adaptable for their offspring to survive. Males can spread their genes all through their adult life but females must wait some time carrying and taking care of their babies. Fighting for a female is a biological tradition. This helps female to choose the most suitable. That is in nature of course. We humans separated ourselves from the nature a very long time ago. However we always hear nature calling and occasionally obey that calling. There are people who dream of having their meals as pills. If it was possible, people would forget all about the pleasures of degustation. If you ask people would you rather have normal meals or mare pills for nutrition, most people would prefer normal meals. However when asked about polygamy or, should we say, playing around the same people would object claiming that they are not relevant. In fact they are more relevant than they want to admit. Feeding and sex are both natural needs of human body. We eat freely until we get married and then we start to fast.

Our closest relatives in the animal kingdom are apes. Male apes don’t discriminate between females. They try to get all the females they can and Females never waste the chance to find happiness in the arms of a strong male. That’s right, birds and bees and even educated flees do it. However they do it with every other bird, bee and flee regardless of their education. Dating married can make a person feel bad about himself or herself but it is also natural and when nature calls, one should listen.
