Maybe you just caught them on a bad day. You\’re the high school football offensive lineman you look up across the line to see who\’s your blocking assignment for this play (and most of the game). As you look up, something doesn\’t look quite right. Yea, this guys big and strong (and it\’s not the pads) but as you catch a glimpse of the face, you feel a twinge of fear. You look over as the other defensive lineman and yea, they\’re tough and all but nothing like what you have to face. You look back and you find that you can\’t look the player in the eyes because he looks crazy. He\’s looking right at your eyes…practically reading your mind. His helmet lifts and falls with his exaggerated breathing and there\’s a general shadow that falls across his face except for the eyes. You brace yourself because you know right away that the first hit is going to hurt and every hit after that will sting. It\’s going to be a long game of fear and loathing. That\’s why we built the Fear and Loathing high school football badge….for your pain.

The prep football badges are your own little personal tribute to the game you love as a player of high school football. They come in all shapes and sizes with animation to capture each and every part of high school football. You have animated badges for passing, rushing, defense…you name it and we\’ll keep adding them. We\’ll even open it up to our community to make their own. Let\’s face it, you freaks are much more creative and closer to the game than we are so you should get some action on the football badge front. So now that we introduced the badge concept, let\’s take a look at Fear and Loathing.

This is probably one of our favorite. There\’s a comic book stylized look to it from the beginning. You see the top of a red football helmet which slows pans down. The next frame shows a large crack through the helmet which tells you somethings not quite right. The animation continues to pan down to show mainly the eyes of a very intense and intimidating face surrounded by the stylized football helmet. The frame steadies and the face slowly transform into a skeleton as the words \”Fear and Loathing\” appear slowly in the bottom left corner. So why the macabre take on our football nemesis?

Some players are just crazy. They love to hit and hit hard every single play. If you\’re playing football, you like to mix it up a little but these players take it way too far. You\’re pretty sure there\’s the stink of raw meet on their breath and they keep looking at you…actually looking through you like your just took out their whole family. It\’s the look in the eye that gives it away because you can\’t hide crazy. Maybe they\’re normal in their regular street cloths but when they hit the high school football field, they sew Fear and Loathing in anyone they come across.
