If you are using this product on any mounds in your yard, be sure to read the directions thoroughly and use it properly. You should first pour a nice amount on top of the mound, as well as in a circle several inches around the mound. The next thing you will need to do is sprinkle water over the entire area, taking special care to avoid splashing your skin.
Pouring the water over the pile will ensure that the poison runs into the tunnels. These pests tend to have intricate tunnel systems in and under their mounds. These tunnels and chambers are designed with designated spots and chambers for breeding, laying eggs, and eating. Getting the dust deep inside the pile will make it so that all the pests are reached and killed, preventing their return.
