The Woman of My Life

I tried everything to return to my normal life before I met my first wife. This is my last chance. If one of these debt relief services can’t solve my problem, I’m planning to announce my bankruptcy.

When I first took her to meet my parents my mother behaved very distant. After that first night she always told me that my wife to be is only after my money and I always asked her, “What money?” I was making $60,000 yearly and I didn’t have anything you would call property. The only thing that could be considered as property was my old Volvo station. If I tried to sell it, they wouldn’t give me even a strait $5,000 for it. One day we were having dinner in a fancy restaurant and she started to tell me about her dreams. She told me that she believed the value of a woman in the eyes of her man can be estimated by the size of the rock on her wedding ring. I should have taken the queue from that dialogue. Instead, the next day I went to a jewelry store and bought her one of the largest rocks that can be decently put on a ring, paying half of my annual income. I didn’t have that kind of money of course. So I paid the price of the ring on an installment plan. This was the first of many installment plans I would see all through my marriage.

When we got married she was wearing a designer bridal dress bought on an installment plan. When we went to our honeymoon we went to the other side of the world, to an expensive resort in Cape Town which was another installment plan for the happiness of my wife. After we came back she never looked for a job. She said she wanted to be the woman of our house raising our children. She said to be a housewife is already a fulltime job. In our marriage that lasted for 2 years she never got pregnant. She always wore designer clothes, bought the most expensive jewelry and never prepared a dinner in her life. We always went out for dinner and always to the most expensive restaurants.

When my mother told me that she was after my money, I used to tell her that you can’t be after something that doesn’t exist. How wrong I was. One day when I was looking for my favorite tie, I found her oral contraceptives. She was using birth control all along. When I asked her about being the woman of the house and raising my children, she left me with all my debts. A couple of weeks after we got divorced I was fired from my job without a reason. One month later, my ex-wife got married with my ex-boss.

Now I’m calling all the debt relief services I can find, telling them my story. My only hope is that, one of them would settle my debts and give me back my life.
