How to Cruise in Your Own Exploratory Essay

“Either you are with us or not” “Either you fight or die” “Therefore I am right and you are wrong” sounds amazingly familiar? Well most of the college essays require personal thought or someone else’s’ idea. But exploratory essay is something else, it neither a do or die situation, nor a right or wrong conclusions. It’s only about exploration, that’s right you read it right, only explore.

This College Essay requires the students to provide as much information the student can find, of course any topic in this 21st century when is Googled, you will end up with hundreds of points so the teacher will give you the subtitles you have to work on (you can heave a sigh of relief now). Although some people say that it’s a pretty tough college essay to work on, but as I always “You never know until you try”. In this college essay you are provided a topic, or it can be a group of arguments and you have to give information, comments of the right and left wing of that argument. Note to be pointed here; do not mix Exploratory Essay with an Inquiry Essay, as the former requires a large scope of information, where as the latter college essay is nothing than an inquiry of that topic.

Before beginning an exploratory college essay, it’s better that you do some research and make an outline while you research through, you will get various headings of that argument so chose whichever subtitle is best for your topic, or you need a map for this college essay and if you don’t have compass with you.

After making the rough outline and checking that you have both sides of that argument; usually you define the problems and its solution but it’s not necessary to follow that path; it’s time to begin writing your college essay.

The introduction is obviously about giving a background of the topic and then you can later point out the problems in creating a list of queries, like “Why aren’t people practicing the law?” you can even add a how in this.

After the introduction we get to the main body, where you then make a list of the possible problems, questions that are being raised by you or by the public etc. you can even add scholarly work from newspapers, media, and journalists and even add research paper thesis. Remember that you are writing an exploratory college essay so give points that the public does not know or seems too insignificant to be noticed by the public eye. So give your reader a chance to explore various points not just one focal point, keep the rhythm and flow of your college essay so your reader doesn’t get lost in translation. Then mention solution backed by events, anecdotes and excerpts from various journals etc and give evaluations that are they possible or not.

The conclusion is always about summarizing and giving highlights to the major points you have discussed, don’t go into detail, and just give the pointers.
