Miscarriages are particularly tough on the mother. There\’s no more painful experience than carrying a child in your womb for nine months, feeding it with nutrients from your own body, singing it to sleep while stroking the skin of your stomach, only to have a miscarriage or give birth to a stillborn baby. You need to make sure your wife is ready to take on the emotional risk of another pregnancy.

Next as the father you need to consider her health. Is her body ready to nurse another child in her womb? You must talk to your family doctor closely about this issue. There are a number of reasons why women experience miscarriages, and make sure these same reasons don\’t spill over to her next pregnancy. If the first miscarriage was due to malnutrition, make sure your wife is healthy and in good shape before you try again.

Lastly consult the Bible as husband and wife who\’s planning to get pregnant again after a miscarriage.
