Development of the Poor Can Bring Change to the Society

If we look around we will be upset to see the sufferings of millions of people who cannot afford stomach filled food, health care and education. Don\’t these people deserve basic things in life that we often take for granted? We can make a difference in their lives and help them live a life of dignity. The result of poverty is due to people lacking access to education, health care, adequate housing, proper sanitation and good nutrition generation after generation. The deprived people are most vulnerable to disasters, diseases, deaths but are helpless to improve their circumstances. To make changes in the society it is essential to empower the poor in the society. In developing countries like Bangladesh, a large proportion of the population in remote villages suffer from persistent food insecurity, have no cultivable land or assets, are mostly illiterate and suffer from serious illnesses or disabilities.

Many nonprofit organizations in the world today have come forward with their philanthropic missions to work for the betterment of the poor in these countries. These organizations have been dedicated working hard to fight poverty in rural areas of Bangladesh with their charity work. These nonprofit organizations are serving the cause of the poor and the needy by providing them with proper health care, education; safe environment and helping them earn a daily livelihood. These organizations are trying to share the pain and reduce the sufferings of these individuals who not only face financial crisis but are outsiders to the affluent society at large.

The philanthropic giving by these organizations not only assure them the basics of life but also give them hope and reestablish their feeling over mankind and humanity. If you wonder what these non-profit organizations obtain by working for the poor and the needy, the answer is fulfillment and having done something for the cause of the society. The charity organizations around the world focus on three key issues that affect the lives of poor and the underprivileged – health, education and a safe environment to live in. We often take these things for granted but it\’s true that millions of people die of hunger and malnutrition, never go to school and don\’t even have a proper shelter. We can do something for these people by at least supporting these nonprofit organizations.

We all know that Education is an important tool for the social and economic development of the society. It has been recognized that education and literacy are the most important things for improving the lives of people living in poverty. To empower the children in the society, these charity organizations are running schools to give free education to children and scholarships to meritorious students who are unable to pay their school fees owing to poverty.

Proper health assistance can only be the pillar to successful growth of the society. These organizations are running free hospitals, clinics, conducting free medical camps to offer free treatment to the poor and the needy. They are also running self-reliant projects with an intention to help the poor earn their own living. They are financing some the poor very poor, self-respected aged or widows, in and around villages to start their own small cottage industry with an intention to help them earn their own living. The philanthropic organizations today are making every possible effort to help the unprivileged people living in backward areas of the developing countries.
