Choosing the Right Fashion of Floor Paneling For Your Bathroom
As with any other room in your house, your bathroom flooring needs the same, if not, more amount of attention. You need to consider the floors safety, its durability and its comfort.
Also, you will need to take into account the paneling’s appeal. As there are different materials that may be used for your bath’s floor, you can begin with this aspect to decide the whole design of your bathroom. The most commonly used flooring is tiles. However, you can be a little more adventurous with your choices.
Wood. It may be uncommon but there are those who use wood for their bathroom’s floor. This material can be a little challenging as wood would not work well with the moisture that this part of the house is exposed to. To cope with it, the flooring should have no gaps and to allow for water to get into them. You also need to find the best quality hardwood flooring that you can find.
If you are having second thoughts with hardwood, you can make use of engineered wood. These can take more moisture than the former and can be longer lasting.
Even though wood provides such problems with moisture and durability, there are still those who use it as it is comfortable and it feels good while going barefoot on the bathroom.
Laminate. If you already have a wooden surface, you can add a layer on top with the use of laminates. Laminates can work on mostly any surface and they can be an easier makeover solution to almost any floor. This option can be one of the most durable. They can last for several years with only the superficial layers becoming damaged. Laminates, when properly installed can prevent moisture from seeping into the underlying layers.
Tiles. Sometimes, in the end, we always go back to our trusted floor paneling. Tiles are the most durable, they take on any amount of moisture possible, and more importantly, they look good.
There are two types of tiles that are most famous-vinyl and ceramic. A vinyl tile is the choice of many as it is easy to set up. There is really no need for you to hire a professional to install these tiles as you can do it all by yourself. Also, vinyl tiles have abundant designs and colors that you can choose from. And so, if you are looking for a quick fix but one that can offer the most creative or unique feel, vinyl may be the right way to go.
For those who want to go with the traditional, hard-wearing and solid surface of ceramic tiles, you know you are on the right direction. In terms of durability, these can be the best. There are also different styles, shapes, and colors that are available for this type of tiles. However, if there is one setback of ceramic, it would be that it is cold. And finding those with radiant heat effect may be a little too much for other people’s budget.
