Nova Scotia Real Estate
I tell many people I believe I live and work in Paradise. Travelling through Nova Scotia listing, selling and appraising real estate for so many years has been a wonderful experience. I always have my camera at the ready to capture those special moments that our creator sprinkles all around us in our daily travels. Those few minutes of sunlight fading. That one evening sky never to be repeated. Colourful fall contrasted by the many shades of blue water flowing through the forest or waves breaking on our many miles of shoreline. I have been fascinated and in awe of the beauty of our surroundings and my faith is constantly being reinforced by the magic of creation.
I invite you to explore our wonderful province through my eyes by viewing my photos and paintings posted on line at the link below. When winter winds are blowing and roads blocked by snow I am warm in my studio trying to recreate some of the beauty I have witnessed by painting. I am continually humbled by my inability to recreate God\’s magic with my paintings.
Those many shades of ocean blue.Sunset over rolling farmlands.Dusk in Nova Scotia\’s mystical forests. The brillance of fall foliage along sparkling rivers and brooks. The lights and shadows make every day ,every hour, every moment unique and different once captured never to be re-created.Morning walks along deserted beaches with no one for miles. The solitude and fresh salt air are spirit renewing. They tell me there is no place in Nova Scotia that is more than 30 miles from the ocean.
Seperated from the province of New Brunswick by the Bay of Fundy the highest tides in the world flow in and out carving an ever changing shore line along Nova Scotia\’s Minas Basin. Recorded at over 54 feet at Burntcoat Head located along highway 215 in the municipality of East Hants. Across the basin near Parsboro along those same shores some of the most significant archelogical finds are washed into view every year by natures efforts from fall to spring. Something new to be discovered and explored every summer. All this I photograph and paint every winter in my basement studio cozy and warm with my wood furnace going. My home over looks the Shubenacadie River and from my front deck I can watch the famous Tidal Bore. The bore is created when the outward flowing river is pushed back by the power of the Bay of Fundy tides coming in.This creates a white wall of water across the river.A favorite tourist attraction is river rafting this wall of water rushing up the river. Tours are available from spring until fall with the highest tides being in the fall. Eagles soar along this river and Osprey nest and fish. All this I enjoy from my front deck. All this I photograph and paint.
A Thomas Kincaid I am not but the peace and contentment I feel when creating can not be bought with money. There is no price tag on therapy that restores your soul. Especially when it gives you a break from the rough and tumble world of real estate. In closing please check out the scenery here in Nova Scotia and LIKE my page if you enjoy the tour.
