Being One With the Summer Fun: How to Plan a Pool Party

Summer is the time to get wet and catch up on fun! But it\’s no fun doing it alone. As the famous saying entails, 3 heads are better than one, or better yet, thirty heads are better than one, ALWAYS! A pool party is a great way to enjoy the summer sun and catch up on friends. Planning one is easy and having one is a blast. Any pool owner should consider throwing a pool party of their own for the whole family and their friends.

A POOL PARTY IN THE AFTERNOON

The afternoon is a great time for a pool party. It is the time when the sun is at its peak. This is great if children are included in the invitations.

Top Tips:

1. Prepare several bottles of sun screen for the guests. Place it on strategically on the swimming pool area and inside the house.

2. The afternoon is not only a peak time for the sun but for the mosquitoes as well. With that said, opt to prepare also, several bottles of bug spray. Place it on the swimming pool area and inside the house. If seeing a lot of bugs flying around, take the initiative to spray the bug spray in the air.

3. It is expected for guests to get a whip of the summer sun. In an event that the heat gets the guests feeling sick or nauseous, put a couple of ice cubes in a towel and place it on the guests\’ wrists. This will cool down the heat easily.

4. If in case the sun turns out to be over bearing, prepare a retractable roofing over the pool.

5. Choose food that do not go bad in the sun.

6. Prepare refreshing and tropical drinks for the invitees.

A pool party in the evening is a great choice to cool off from the summer heat. This is appropriate if the attendees are mostly adults.

1. Place tiki torches on your swimming pool area to add lighting. Solar lights and fire pits can also add lighting and elegance to your space.

2. Place floating candles or solar lights on the water.

3. Drowning is evident even at night. Lighting is a must for evening pool parties. Do a kindness and open up or purchase big led lights for those late night swimmers.

These tips are applicable to both afternoon and evening set pool parties.

1. When it comes to food, think finger foods. Opt not to serve soups, stews and whole courses. Prepare finger foods that will make guests full and satisfied. A variety of sandwiches, little cut meats like prosciutto and hotdogs, sea foods like prawns and lobster claws, biscuits, cookie, veggie cut strips and cheeses.

2. Prepare extra dry and clean towels and lip flops for all the attendees.
