Glow Bracelets: The Perfect Present For Children
Anyone who has had to buy present for someone else’s children – and sometimes for their own – will know that it can sometimes be difficult finding something suitable. It’s very hard to come up with something original (i.e. that you know someone hasn’t already got them) that you also know a child will like and use. Of course, there are plenty of toys on the market, but the companies who sell this know the clout they have and price them accordingly. It may be ok if you know the child is going to get the use out of it, but if you’re on a budget or don’t want to buy something expensive that will just sit in a corner, you’ll think twice. Glow bracelets are the perfect idea for presents. They have near-universal appeal, are suitable for both boys and girls and for a wide range of ages. As if that wasn’t enough, they are also very reasonably priced, meaning you can buy plenty of them.
Glow bracelets and necklaces are a great idea for children for a whole load of reasons. They’re that fun, frivolous and apparently trivial present that actually tend to captivate and appeal a whole load more than the big gifts. Everyone remembers having such a toy or present in their own childhood that had a disproportionate attraction. There’s something about snapping the little plastic tube and watching the glowing green (or blue, or red, or multicolour…) light spread through it like magic that is transfixing. The good news is that this kind of rare appeal doesn’t have to cost the earth: glow bracelets are available for surprisingly small sums, particularly if you buy in bulk – in which case you can expect to spend just a few pence each.
Although glow bracelets and other items such as necklaces – or just good old-fashioned glow sticks themselves – aren’t suitable for very young children, there’s no upper age limit (indeed, adults often find them almost as intriguing as children do…). Neither are they restricted to girls only. Boys are just as much fans of glow bracelets as their sisters are – perhaps more so in some cases. This is important because it means you can give exactly the same present to a group of children and not have the complaint that one or other got the better present!
Not only that, but you’ll probably find yourselves a hit with their parents, too. Glow bracelets are brilliant when it comes to keeping track of kids after dark, particularly at big events such as bonfire night – or even when walking home from school as the winter nights draw in. If your children go to cubs/scouts or girl guide meetings, then glow bracelets and other forms of glow jewellery are good ways to remain visible – and trackable – when it’s dark.
All in all, then, these are the ideal present. If you shop around on the web you will be able to find sites that sell all kinds of glow in the dark items – from simple sticks and numerous forms of jewellery to body paint and make-up, and more impressive and complex ornaments – at a good price. If you buy in bulk – 100 items, for example – prices are especially low and you will find they are great value. It doesn’t matter if you don’t need them all at once – glow bracelets keep for a couple of years, so if you ever need a present at short notice you can dig out a few more from the cupboard. Who knows, while you’re shopping you might find something that catches your own eye…
