Even if you have been particularly careful in taking preventative steps to ensure that carpenter ants do not enter your home, you may still find yourself suffering from an infestation. But be especially vigilant when spraying the area around the nest do not allow them to have escape routes.

As you can see, ridding your home of this pest infestation is not going to be an easy task. If you know you have a carpenter ant problem but are unable to find their nest or nests, you would not even have a jumping off point from which to begin. This is one of the reasons why many people simply give in and call an exterminator.

For quicker, more painless results, many people agree that calling an exterminator is the best route to take. Like termites, many people may not even know they have a problem with these ants until it is too late and if their nest grows to a large size, they may do quite a number on the wooden structure of your home.
