The Historic District of Manitou Springs offers visitors the opportunity to sample fresh spring mineral waters – the same ones that the town has become known for. Nearby hotels and the grand Intemann Memorial Trail make a stay here all the more hospitable. Both Cripple Creek and Canon City do much to attract visitors in their own rights. In Canon City, riders of the Royal Gorge Route Railway are subject to breathtaking views of the Gorge. Those who stop in Cripple Creek will come to know the western slope of Pikes Peak as well as the deep rooted history of this gold rush town.

If it is gorgeous scenery you require, you absolutely must check out the area west of the continental divide. In the western slope of the Rockies, you will find Glenwood Springs, home to nature’s enormous hot springs swimming pool and Grand Junction, which serves as the entrance to the red rock canyons within the Colorado National Monument.
