Before construction companies start their work on a project, they should make sure to inspect construction sites carefully to determine what precautionary measures are needed to keep their workers safe and to prevent from accidents and injuries from happening.

Companies should ensure that they provide the needed health insurance for their workers. Health and accident insurance can be of great help to the family and to employees, especially when accidents occur.

Since falls and slippage are the most common accidents that occur in construction sites, it is a must for contractors and companies to provide sturdy and durable scaffolding for their workers. More so, it should be a standard operating procedure (SOP) for worker to wear durable harness whenever they climb or they work in high places.

Contractors should make sure that all the equipment, machinery and devices used in the construction site is properly functional and well maintained because some of accidents are caused by faulty machinery.

Management and construction foreman should make sure to post signage on dangerous sites.
Employees should not forget to wear protective gear while working in the site such as work gloves, boots, safety goggles, hard hats, earplugs and face masks.

They should have emergency ambulance and clinics on stand up to treat and to deal with victims when accidents arise.

Lastly, construction companies must comply with the guidelines and benchmarks set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
