Anyone who is bitten by some creature in the home should certainly find out what is causing these problems since some creatures can carry disease. Alternatively, these bugs may just be eating into the fabric of the house but this is still a serious matter since some homes have been literally devastated by termite infestation etc. Whatever it is, finding a pest control expert is mandatory so that the bugs can be sent packing. One of the worst creatures that anyone could get in the house is a tick. These are brought in by humans or animals depending on where they have been recently. Both animals and humans can be made extremely ill if a tick has bitten them but it takes a lot of investigation by experts to figure out what is making them sick. We normally see ticks on dogs or cats after they have become bloated with blood from the host. However, getting them off is another matter. When a particular tick bites a human, they can display severe illness and if the target rash is missed, they could become very sick indeed. For fleas, it is easy to control these, and ticks too, by washing pets with a proprietary brand of shampoo on a regular basis. Tick and flea collars too will work, but once these bugs are in the house it may be wise to call in the experts to sort the matter out.

Another bug which is making a comeback, surprisingly, is the humble bed bug. This used to be known only in run down hotels and the like but the population is currently exploding all across the states. Since we travel a lot these days, it is very easy to bring one or two of these bugs home with us in our suitcases and then they do the damage when they start to procreate. These bugs need blood to trigger the egg-laying phase of their lives. The first that we know of their presence is when we start to get bitten all over just before dawn when they come out to feed. These little bugs can last for five months without eating so they can hide away in cracks and crevices all over the place.

Exterminators come in with the correct sprays and chemicals to oust them from their hiding places and they will even come back when the eggs are due to hatch too. It is their regular visits that will kill them off for good and nothing else will halt their population explosion. Even roaches and rodents which come into the home can be a complete nuisance and they can even cause sickness too. Therefore, it may be a good idea to get the expert in to check just in case something has been overlooked.
