Top Sports Bucket List
If you are like most people, when you are thinking about bucket lists, you have sports events at the top of that list. You may have specific trips that you would like to take based upon sports that you are interested in, but for most people, the items at the top of the list are pretty similar. The items on this list are usually the ones at the top of the list when someone is thinking about a sports vacation or creating a bucket list of sports items. The Summer Olympic Games is far and away the number one item on this list. It includes the best athletes from all over the world and it is only held every four years. Another big draw for the summer games is the fact that it includes some of the biggest sports in the world. This is the only chance to be able to see the best players in the world for basketball, track and field, swimming and soccer. Attending the summer games in person is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.
The second item on the list is attending a World Cup Soccer final; however this may depend upon where you live. Soccer is the most popular sport in the entire world, but it is still working to find a bigger following in the United States. The fact that this tournament is only held every four years similar to the Olympics keeps it at the top of the list. There are not many single game events that can rival the Super Bowl. It is a one game, winner-take-all game that has also morphed into a full-fledged entertainment venue over the years. Many people who do not even like football would love to attend the Super Bowl in person.
Attending The Masters golf tournament is another sports related vacation that is pretty high on people’s lists. Some of the events on this list are about the competition or seeing the great players, but this one is all about history and tradition.
One of the things that make the NCAA Men’s Final Four such a great ticket is the connection to pop culture. People who do not even like sports or basketball get excited about this event because they filled out a bracket. They may not even know the teams that are playing, but they have a vested interest in the teams that they picked in their bracket. It does not matter which teams make the final, people love this event.
The winter Olympic Games are not quite as popular as the summer games, but they are still on the bucket list of a lot of people. The fact that the event is only held every four years makes it a big draw, particularly when it is held in your home country. Wimbledon is another event that is mostly about having respect for the tradition of the event. It is most revered tournament in the world. Both players and fans alike treat the experience of Wimbledon as a special event that requires certain behavior.
