But then they get it. One day it clicks. Their hard work pays off and like riding a bike, they’ll be able to pick up a guitar whenever and just do it. They have learned not only guitar, but that hard work and perseverance pays off.

Apart from the skills, the pleasure derived from music is immense, from the musician to everyone in earshot! The kind of joy this provides approaches the sublime! It’s hard to overstate how much pure pleasure there is in playing music you love, even if there is nobody around to hear it but you.

There are all kinds of skills and attributes you acquire, but at the end of the day, learning the instrument is its own reward. Music is an incomparable pleasure, and one day your kids will be very grateful to their parents for getting them started.
