Four Apples A Day Keep The Doctor Away

Yes, I know, the saying goes – one apple. I don’t want a snack. I want tools that work and are user friendly.

I am totally sold on all of my tools. My MacBook and I get along very well. As for the PC……. If the p stands for personal, I am sure it only had it’s personal agenda. It did what it wanted and decided to die in a couple of years – hmmm.

I happily work on my website projects on my MacBook in a carefree manner with no viral worries.

Sprinkled in my day is my iPad use as I work on the website that reviews and records videos for the best educational apps for kids on iPad. Flip back to my MacBook and upload videos to my site and to You Tube with ease. I must admit, it feels like play at times, but we all need some of that.

We introduced an iPad to my grandson last year when he was two years old. He still uses it everyday! That was when the inspiration for my website. I spent a good many days finding apps for him in the sea of apps. You have to be alert for things that will bite you, like inappropriate ads, in app buys, etc. Yes, the sea of apps can be a fun and scary place!

Throughout the day my iPhone comes in and out. Sometimes it’s pictures of my grandson, his dog, etc. Apart from being fun, my phone has been so useful. Being busy in real-estate, the visual voicemail is such a gift. I don’t have to listen to four messages to get to the urgent one I was waiting for. The iPhone made it possible for me to go to work with hands left free. It is my calculator, camera, GPS guide and my mls key. Is that a smart phone or what? I can preview properties and email the photos to my customers instantly and download all pictures for marketing purposes when I get home.

On to my fourth ® Apple, my Nano. This is the most perfect little thing. If I am walking for exercise I listen to something to speed me up – 140 beats a minute will do that. In winding down, I like talk radio shows instead of news. That works for me around the house too. I call it my helper when it comes to dishes and such. It make my housework enjoyable.

People like me are easy to spot. We are the people who use the checkout box at the stores with their fingers as touch screens. We may also try to pinch and zoom on your phone, when it can’t. We may swipe away at your phone trying to make cover flow work, only it can’t.

Throughout my day my tools work for me. From working to relaxing to getting through mundane tasks, it seems they have a tool for all of that. Four Apples a Day is what works for me.
