This workout is great for people that are not up for the intensity of the treadmill but still wish to get their heart rate pumping. The stationary bike is similar to the treadmill in its ability to be used by a novice or an expert exerciser. Many stationary bikes also offer the exercise cycles that you can set the bike at in order to work yourself at different speeds and levels of difficulty. This helps push you harder and keeps your heart rate up.

The Stairmaster is also a great exercise to do when you want to get your heart rate up and really get into a cardio exercise. However, the stair master is one of the most difficult exercises to do, especially for an extended period of time. If you are just starting out exercising, you should probably wait until you have built up your strength and endurance before attempting to do the stair master as your main, regular exercise. Instead you could spend a little bit of time on the stair master to warm up and then move to a different machine for the remainder of your exercise time.

Being able to do a consistent cardio exercise is an essential piece of a healthy life, if you exercise enough; your heart will remain young and vibrant even as you age. Exercising is difficult to motivate yourself to do. However, if you will push yourself through the first few months, you will begin to see a difference in your physical body as well as your energy, and it will be worth it.
