All along the way these utilities are responsible for the plants that produce the power, as well as all of the pipes and lines that allow delivery to your home, office, business or corporation.

In order to produce this power they employ a large staff of various different types of technicians who man laboratories, repair trucks, customer service lines, and those who install the service or read the meters. It takes a lot of manpower to provide these services to the general public.

During an outage, no matter what time of the day or night, they must be on call to quickly repair and restore service so that you continue to receive power. This work is often done in the middle of thunderstorms or just after a catastrophe, such as a hurricane or tornado. It is dangerous and risky but this is what it takes to make sure that the community has the power it needs to continue to thrive.
