Nopalea Aid to Winter Good Health

Flu season is creeping up on us as the carefree days of summer are left behind.

Along with getting a flu shot, there are several steps you can take to help increase the odds that you make it through the winter in relatively good health.

You see, without good health, all of life’s small pleasures become small and insignificant.

If you are in poor health and feeling miserable from something medicine and science can’t cure, it doesn’t really matter how much money you have sitting in a bank somewhere. It doesn’t matter how luxurious the car in your driveway is. It doesn’t matter how high the thread count is on your sheets in your extravagantly large house with the indoor pool.

If you are in poor health and feeling miserable from something medicine and science can’t cure, it doesn’t really matter how much time you spent working on that novel, that painting, that multi-million dollar merger, or that lovely small patch of garden in the backyard.

Without your health, you can’t enjoy any of it.

If someone you love is in poor health and feeling miserable from something medicine and science can’t cure, it doesn’t matter that you are feeling just fine.

Too many people in this world take good health for granted.

It can never be taken for granted. It must always be cherished.

If it is taken for granted, it will soon flee as we age.

But the good news is small steps can make a mountain of difference when it comes to our health. Here are some of my favorite steps to maintain good health.

1. Drink Nopalea Juice. The reason I put this first is because this juice, made from the prickly pear cactus, can not only alleviate current symptoms of pain, but it can prevent future illness and disease it is made from the cactus that is a natural anti-inflammatory and natural antioxidant.

2. Eat one small square of dark chocolate (at least 88 percent dark cocoa) each day.

3. Drink one small glass of red wine each night.

4. Make the bulk of your meal fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and cut back on protein, making sure what you do eat is a lean protein.

5. Exercise at least thirty minutes each day.

6. Drink at least one, preferably two, cups of green tea each day.

Those are just a few of the tiny, yet enjoyable steps that people can make everyday habits to help stay healthy.

When it comes down to it, without our health we have nothing. You know how great it feels when you have been sick and all of a sudden, you feel better. It is like you are a brand new person with the whole world in front of you. Health is one of those things we don’t realize we have until it is gone.

Make a point to never take your health for granted and implement small daily steps that are fun and can make a huge difference in the long run.
