Gaining muscle is an important part of your fitness goals. You want to gain muscle to increase metabolism and adding muscle also helps you to improve your overall physique. Here are some sure fire tips that you can use to start building up muscle as fast as possible.

Tip #1 – Don\’t Do Too Many Reps

Some people focus on doing a lot of reps when they are trying to build muscle mass. However, doing too many reps isn\’t going to give you the fast results that you really want. Instead, try lifting heavier weights and only doing 10 reps. Heavier weights allow you to hit more muscle fibers when lifting weights, which means you\’ll be better able to develop those muscles, leaving you with a ripped, muscular appearance.

Tip #2 – Go For Intensity

You don\’t need to spend hours at the gym to start building muscle fast. What you need to do is to go for intensity with your muscle building workouts instead of going for longer workouts. It\’s a better option to do your sets fast and close together, only leaving a minute or less between your sets. When you change exercises, try to only rest two minutes or less. This is going to keep your body going and you may feel extremely tire when you first try it, but adding the higher intensity is going to really provide you with the dramatic results you want when you\’re working to gain more muscle. Center your workouts around compound exercises , such as combinations of pullups and rows, bench presses and dips back, deadlifts and squats. Tip #4 – Keep Adding Weight

As you do your muscle building workouts, it\’s a good idea to keep a journal or log that helps you keep track of your weights, your sets and reps, and the routine you use. You can also add in notes about how you feel after each workout, which will help you to keep track of the progress you are working. Adding weight is going to help you build more muscle, so it\’s usually a good idea to keep increasing weight at about 5% increase every other week. As you keep adding weight, you\’ll continue to stimulate your muscles, helping you to continue building them.
