It\’s managed by a sister\’s convent from Europe and this is where Pilate presented Jesus to the mob. Temple Mount is a historical site for both the First Temple built by King Solomon as well as the Second Temple built by the returning exiles from Persia. It was King Herod the Builder who later renovated this temple.

Tisch Family Zoological Gardens (Biblical Zoo) – Is a 62-acre zoo which consists of more than 140 species of animals and has two major themes: animals mentioned in the Bible and endangered species from around the world.

Mount of Olives is located east of Jerusalem and this holy spot is associated with many events in Jesus\’ life such as ascending to Heaven (Chapel of Ascension) and teaching his disciples the Lord\’s Prayer (Pater Noster). The City of David Visitors Center located in the City of David which is outside the walls of the Old City near the Dung Gate. This is where King David made his capital and built his palace. His son Solomon was the first to build a temple in Jerusalem.

Jewish Quarter (Cardo) has many shops and restaurants. Church of the Holy Sepulcher was built in the 4th Century over the site of a Roman Pagan temple. It is considered to be one of the holiest shrines to Christians, preserving the most important moments of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Dome of the Rock (al-Haram al-Sharif) as the Arabs call it was built by the Khalif Abdul Malik ibn Marwan. Within the Dome of the Rock is the footprint of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) when he ascended to the Heavens.

Christian Quarter of Jerusalem\’s walled Old City holds the most important Christian Church, the Holy Sepulcher and a number of monasteries, archaeological sites and shrines along the Via Dolorosa.
