How to Make Face Cream?
There are thousands of face cream products in the market today. What is maddening is that, all these products that you can find on the health shops or on the internet claim to be the best. As a consumer, it is overwhelming and frustrating as to which ones really do make a difference. What most people do is they undergo a trial and error phase which is a complete waste of time, money, and effort. Not to mention, the disappointment and the depression that you get after it does not meet up to its expectation.
Making A Face Cream
The first thing that you have to consider is having the right ingredients. You would not want to just put in anything that has not been tested and proven to be safe. You would also have to consider the fact that companies that make face creams have all the experts and the technology to come up with a safe and effective product. Classifying your skin type and what it really needs is important. If you have dry, oily or normal skin, you would need to address that specifically. You must be able to identify the different herbs, essential oils, butter, vitamins, botanical ingredients and additives that will become effective for your home-made cream. Would you want to make a day or night cream, a moisturizer or a barrier cream? These are the questions that you need to answer.

You may need specific tools to make an efficient cream. Equipments such as a digital scale, spatula, glass microwavable dish, a blender or a mixer, a jar are among the most common. You can choose to follow the ingredients that you can find on other products but you would also have to come up with the specific measurements. To make things less complicated you can come up with basic ingredients such as:
150,000 IU Vitamin A
10,000 IU Vitamin E
1 cup Grape Seed Oil
1/2 cup Aloe Vera Gel or Juice
1/2 cup Virgin Coconut Oil
1/2 oz. grated Beeswax
1 tsp Lanolin
2/3 cup Distilled water
2 drops Essential Oil
A dry jar or tub
Ensure that all the ingredients are at room temperature. The first thing that you should do is to mix the beeswax, lanolin, grape seed oil and coconut oil in a double boiler pan and then heat the mixture with low heat until it all melts. Pour the heated mixture in a cup and let it stand until it reaches room temperature. When it has reached the desired temperature you can now mix the rest of the ingredients in a blender or a mixer using high speed. Slowly pour the previous mixture into the blender until there is none left. Turn off the blender or mixer when the mixture has reached a thicker texture and the speed has slowed down. Transfer the mixture in a jar and or a tub. When you are not using it you can cover it tightly and place your home-made mixture in a refrigerator. The shelf-life can last for about a few weeks before it is rendered unusable.
Other Options
There are other types of mixtures that one can come up with when making a face cream. The mixture and ingredient composition will depend on the type of cream you want to make. You can search the web for other ingredients and how to make your preferred face cream. make sure that these sites are reliable and trustworthy.
