What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Menopause?
A lot of women are worrying because they suspect that they are already experiencing some menopause symptoms. Are you one of them?
The stage leading you to your last monthly period is called the Perimenopause. During this stage, you may notice some changes in your body brought by the lowering of your estrogen level. All the signs you are actually experiencing are the same thing experienced when you are already being attacked by the menopause symptoms. But if you are not aware that you are already going through the pre-menopausal stage, then these symptoms may be a bit confusing on your part. Here are some of the menopause symptoms so that you will be aware what exactly it exactly that you are experiencing is.
Changes in your Monthly Period
If you are encountering some menopause symptoms, then you are most likely to experience altered monthly periods. Your monthly period may come in longer days or vice versa and you will notice that the 28 to 30 days pattern has also changed. This symptom of menopause is very easy to define for those who have had regular menstrual cycle ever since they were thirteen years old. On the other hand, this symptom may not bring any impact on those women with irregular menstrual cycle. But missing a period does not necessarily mean that you are already on your perimanopausal stage. Do not take the possibility of getting pregnant out of the picture. So do not jump in to conclusion that you are already on your menopausal stage once you miss a period or two.
The Irritating Hot Flashes
One of the early menopause symptoms is having hot flashes. Many women at their early menopausal stage experience this. For those who have experienced it the first time, you might just think that it is due to the many layers you are wearing but actually the irritating hot flashes are starting to attack. The sad part is it usually becomes worse before it actually gets better.
The Mood Swings
It may be funny to hear about all the jokes made about menopause women getting easily irritated, but these are actually true. Women during their menopausal stage may reach the peak of their temper so easy that they quickly change their moods from time to time. One moment they are sad then after a minute you will hear them laugh. Even if their lives are going positively fine, somehow they see an empty room that will make them weep and cry. This is one of the menopause symptoms that is hard to deal with and it usually makes women worry to reach this stage.
Sleepless Nights
There may be night when going to sleep is hard and very frustrating. Sometimes you experience excessive sweating during the night which makes it so irritable to sleep and relax. Feeling weak and stressed may also contribute to having altered sleeping patterns. If this will become a big issue for you to handle then maybe it is time for you to consult your physician.
