Are Numismatic Coins Right for the Amateur Investor?

I came across this article not too long ago on coin collecting on one of my favorite gold and silver investing websites and thought I would share it with you, because it gives you information you may have not seen or even considered before investing into numismatics.

I myself pick up numismatic coins here and there, but not a huge fan of them. I would rather pick up gold and silver coins from goldsilver.com, because they only charge between 1-5% dealer commission when ordering coins or bullion from them as stated on the website.

Plus from what I understand, Mike was the advisor to \”Ron Paul\”, and many other predominant political figures and is very knowledgeable in the area of Silver and Gold investing.

Anyway, I thought I would just \”put it out there\” as they say, and let the chips fall where they may, i.e. I report, you decide.

NOTE: This blog post in no way indorses any products sold on the goldsilver.com site. No monetary compensation is being rendered to me from goldsilver, or any affiliate.

I myself am not an affiliate. Just sharing the information to help educate the general public.

Something else… I also watched a video of a pretty successful marketer on this site, who basically said that most people are tired of health and wellness products, and proceeded to show some benefits of owning Numismatic coins.

You have to remember (and don\’t take my word for it, check it out with people who know much more about this industry than I do, and it\’s what I\’ve heard over and over again) putting your money into Numismatics (MS70 coins or otherwise) isn\’t wise if you are looking at them as an investment.

When the silver or gold is worth about 30 – 40% or so of what you actually pay for the MS70 coin, you have to make up that difference and right off the bat, you are losing big money \”up front\” hoping to make it back and more in the long run, but why start off that way?

Just by bullion gold and silver outright at what it is actually worth at the time you buy it minus the 1-5% commission from a reputable broker. There are tons of places online that will do this for you and even store the gold/silver for you securely and it\’s ready to unload fast if you need to buy food, water and shelter down the road when the dollar is worth practically nothing.

It reminds me of a story I once heard and it goes something like this; This German lady had a wheelbarrow full of German Marks and went to the grocery store. She left her wheelbarrow in front of the store to go talk to the store owner to see what she could get for her Marks (which were worth practically nothing at the time) from the store owner. When the lady went back outside, her German Marks were scattered all over the ground, and someone had stolen her wheelbarrow.

P.S. Never join with a sponsor or a business just because you like them or the business, do it because it makes good business sense when looked at objectively – again stripped down to the bare bones and looked at from all angles under the hood and all around it.
