Cheaper options for edible tokens would be chocolates or baked goods with a long shelf life. These are also easy to play around with if the couple wants to add a personal or creative touch to it. For example, the packaging of chocolates is modified to contain the names of the bride and groom. Baked goods are shaped in such a way that makes them look like wedding-themed items.

For weddings with a higher budget for edible wedding favors, the couple can choose to give cookie sets in elegant tin containers that come with tea bags, or perhaps exclusively packaged mints, chocolate candies, or hot chocolate mixes, that appear as though they are branded by the wedding itself and the names of the bride and groom.
