Leisure Suit Larry was a game that originated way back in 1987. The game follows the main character, Larry Laffer; a guy in his 40\’s who ventures the world in the quest to find true love. This is a game well known for its innovative idea and one of the infamous games to use the point and click interface. Though it is not the first of the many Point and Click Games, it is still one to remember.
Point and Click Games has developed significantly through the years. The use of the point and click interface was first introduced in 1984 by Apple\’s groundbreaking Macintosh computer that provides a graphical user interface and featured the use of a mouse. With the appearance of the mouse, it signaled a shift and an opportunity to correspond and extend the function of the Macintosh to games. Early games that used the point and click interface used drop down menus for action selection and text description were provided in a separate window.
