What is a Hamstring Strain?

A hamstring injury involves the pulling and tearing of one or more of the three muscles of the hamstring. In almost all cases, movement will be affected although some people can still move in a limping walk.

This type of injury is not common on contact sports as a pulled hamstring does not get damaged due to impact.
